Garut Arabica coffee is grown at elevations of 1,300–2,000 meters above sea level in the volcanic highlands of West Java, influenced by Mount Papandayan, Mount Guntur, and Mount Cikuray. Fertile volcanic soil, cool climate, and traditional smallholder farming contribute to the production of high-quality specialty coffee.
Garut coffee is known for its bright yet balanced acidity, medium to full body, and clean cup profile. Typical flavor notes include brown sugar sweetness, citrus, tropical fruits, caramel, and floral aromas, often accompanied by hints of chocolate and spices with a long, pleasant finish. The unique volcanic terroir of Garut contributes to its distinctive complexity and elegant character.
